2009/11/22: Infineon

light rain/mist in the morning - took the car out anyway

no video or laptimes but there were engine problems:

- at WOT, the car pulled fine to redline (8400rpm)

- at anything less the car would buck and nearly stall around 6500rpm - could not get past 6500 except at WOT

- pulling past 6500 and then trying to feather the throttle failed in 4th; it wouldn't slow like lifting off completely, but the car would lose speed (despite 90% throttle) until it fell below 7000 and then buck and behave badly

- I think 3rd gear behaved the same as 4th, but I'm not absolutely sure now - I might have been able to hold the car at 7k rpms at part throttle

- when I pulled into the pits the fuel pump sounded very unhealthy (alternating pitch high/low and then sounding as if it were almost about to quit) but it would rev ok

- when I arrived at home it started right away and I pulled into the garage with no problems - pump sounded fine

- tried to download AEM logs but there was nothing to download!?

- the car has 4.77 final drive and no 'yellow box' to correct vehicle speed - not sure if that's related
